Manners Class: The goal is to help dogs over 20 weeks old develop polite, desirable behaviors in everyday situations. We cover essential skills like attention, focus, sit, down, stay, reliable recall, and loose leash walking. The class also includes strategies for preventing and managing unwanted behaviors, while focusing on impulse control and polite greetings with people and other dogs.
Leash Walking Class: This class focuses specifically on teaching your dog how to walk calmly and politely on a leash. We work on loose leash walking, building attention and focus while moving through real-life distractions. Classes are held outdoors when the weather allows, giving your dog the opportunity to practice in dynamic environments. During winter, we utilize an indoor space to continue working on leash walking with distractions and other dogs.
Community Canines: This class is for teams ready for a greater challenge and looking to build on their skills in a fun and engaging way. We focus on increasing distraction, duration, and distance for the skills taught in our manners class. This is a great next step for dogs working toward being polite and reliable in the community, and an excellent option for handlers interested in pet therapy work.
